Firefox font-rendering on openSUSE

If you happen to have the same problems I had with absolutely inacceptable font rendering results in Firefox, just go to your home directory and remove the file .fonts.conf, start Firefox and voila: non washy font-rendering like in the rest of the (Gnome) system.
