I just had a quick look at the latest Inkscape 0.46 pre and I must say that it feels really nice. Some little drawing glitches, but nothing which actually degrades the brilliance of this free application. The only drawback the 0.45 release had was the missing OpenTrueType support. This issue seems to have been addressed and I can now use the Computer Modern Unicode fonts – my favourites – in Inkscape:
